IFTA
moving to FFTI?
In the last few months we saw some other IFTA (Italian Field Target Association) shooters to get close to FFTI (Federazione Field Target Italia).
This may not happen just because of the poor results that IFTA got at the Ireland Opens, where they got the "full bottom place" of the ranking, but probably because of the way their committee has managed the matter.
Actually seems that some of the IFTA's participants were not regularly admitted in the Association (here it isn't very clear if they are still an Association - as was written onto their jackets - or if they are a federation ...), while other very good shooters were absolutely not been informed about the possibility of a sponsorship (by Ginb, the famous Italian-Indonesian stock maker, and member of IFTA committee), to cover the trip expenses.
Furthermore, so far IFTA has not published yet the results of the Ireland contest on their official web site and even never reported about it on their forum.
This matter has surely made suspicious many of IFTA's members, also because the only report written in their forum by a FFTI member, and deeply discussed toether with most of the IFTA members (almost 800 views in three days), has been edited and cancelled at later time by their forum administrator, mr. Leoni, and by their modreators staff, as soon as they came back from their holydays.
Actually it isn't a new story, about how mr. Leoni and his moderators have methodically kept under their control all the discussions developed within their forum, and methodically editing or cancelling topics that they don't like, avoiding the discussions to democratically develop between their members. They also banned the email addresses of the members that they don't trust (so, whoever is not a very-close friend) blocking the PM (personal messeges) as well, to avoid members to communicate together with different media but the forum topics only.
Obviously even the members that always acted in good-faith and always trusted the IFTA committee (we remind you that the IFTA committee can be chosen between a few number - 3 - of founder members only), finally have seen something wrong behind this behaviour, and something else but the Field Target.
Actually these reasons are similar to the ones that made the most of IFTA's members to split and to born FTI, more than two years ago. Unluckly the most of the new members that joined IFTA in the meantime and some of the few old members remained there, have never been revealed the truth. Opposite they have been informed with lots of lies, or simply denying that the thing ever happen.
With this las "haemorrhage" of IFTA members moving to FFTI, their association is in agony, remaining with a few members that you may count by using a single hand. The end of IFTA (and we remind you that it is the only NGB for Italy, recognised by the WFTF) seems scarred. It could be a victory for the Italian Field Target and for the Sport in general, if finally it could end its existance.
